Diffuse child safety standards
Offline Protocol, Inc. publishes these standards for Diffuse - Offline Social Media. Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE), including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), is strictly prohibited on Diffuse and on services controlled by Offline Protocol.
Zero tolerance for CSAE and CSAM
Diffuse prohibits creating, soliciting, possessing, preserving, uploading, distributing, or facilitating CSAE or CSAM. Diffuse also prohibits child grooming, sexualization of minors, sextortion, child trafficking for sexual exploitation, attempts to contact a child for sexual purposes, and attempts to evade child safety controls. These rules apply to public posts, connections-only content, source archives, evidence bundles, profiles, reports, and every other use of Diffuse.
Report child safety concerns in Diffuse
A user can open the menu on a post, choose Report post, and select Child sexual abuse / exploitation without leaving the app. The reported post is hidden on that device immediately, the report is stored in a durable outbox when offline, and it is submitted for review when a connection becomes available. Reports do not automatically publish the reported content into the feed.
Child safety review and enforcement
Offline Protocol reviews child safety reports and takes appropriate action when it obtains actual knowledge of prohibited content. Depending on the facts and applicable law, action may include quarantining or removing content from operator-controlled services, stopping operator-controlled distribution, blocking known prohibited media through signed safety rules, preserving only records required for safety or legal compliance, and restricting access to operator-controlled services. A single anonymous report does not by itself determine guilt or automatically remove a post.
Child safety laws and required reports
Offline Protocol complies with applicable child safety laws and regulations. Confirmed CSAM is escalated through the applicable legal process and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or the relevant regional authority when required by law. Diffuse is not an emergency service. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement.

The Diffuse Child Safety Team at Offline Protocol, Inc. can be reached at diffuse@offlineprotocol.com. Use “CHILD SAFETY” in the subject. Include a post ID, public signing key, or other non-sensitive information that helps locate the report. Never email illegal media, private keys, one-time codes, or precise location information. This team is prepared to discuss Diffuse enforcement and review procedures and act on child safety notifications from Google Play or relevant authorities.
Scope of these standards
These standards apply globally to Diffuse and to services controlled by Offline Protocol, Inc. Independent devices, relays, exports, and third-party services may retain copies outside Offline Protocol control. Diffuse uses signed safety updates and revocations to stop compliant clients and operator-controlled services from displaying or re-serving prohibited content.
